Skip Krasney

Edward (Skip) Krasney Biography

Skip is Manager of Sustainable Forestry Programs at Kimberly-Clark Corporation. Skip has been with the company for 30 years working primarily on environmental sustainability issues and has focused his efforts on promoting responsible forestry management since 1995. Skip was instrumental in developing and implementing the company’s Global Fiber Procurement Policy. Skip is responsible for the global agreement with WWF-US for the Global Forest & Trade Network. Skip is also responsible for maintaining agreements with a number of environmental non-governmental organizations including FSC-International and Greenpeace related to forest protection and regeneration.

Skip is a Co-Leader of the Steering Committee of The Forests Dialogue and Chair of the Consumer Goods Forum’s Paper Working Group as well as representing K-C on the WWF New Generation Plantations Platform.

Chris Meyer Biography

Chris Meyer leads EDF’s work with indigenous peoples in Central and South America, serving as a liaison between indigenous communities and policy makers at the national and international levels.

He works directly with indigenous leaders, communities and organizations to insert indigenous rights and interests into national and international climate policies and to explore best practices for developing economic activities around environmental services. Chris provides strategic counsel to indigenous communities on emerging national and international climate change policies.

Chris’s areas of expertise include tropical deforestation, indigenous peoples of Central and South America and best practices in reducing emissions from deforestation and degradation (REDD+).
