Dr. Lennart Ackzell
Swedish federation of FaMily Forest Owners

Dr. Lennart Ackzell is a Swedish Forester with a Ph.D. in Forest Genetics. He started his career in Africa where he spent 3 years mainly in Burkina Faso but he also spent some time in Kenya. He has worked for the Swedish Forest Service and the Ministry of Industry (responsible also for forestry and rural development). Dr. Ackzell has extensive experience in international negotiation such as UNFF, FAO, UNFCCC, ITTO, CBD, OECD and EU.

For the last eight years, Dr. Ackzell ahs worked as a Senior Advisor for the Federation of Swedish Family Forest Owners (part of the Federation of Swedish Farmers), and since 2011 he has served as vice President for IFFA the International Family Forestry Alliance. Thus, he works closely with The Forest Dialogues at Yale, The Forest & Farm facility at FAO, IUCN Geneva, IIED London, and RRI Washington, etc.
