Maura Adams is a program director at the Northern Forest Center, a non-profit that builds economic and community vitality while fostering sound forest stewardship across the Northern Forest of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and New York. Maura’s work focuses primarily on advocating for increased use of automated wood heating systems to replace fossil fuels; she’s also helping to grow the region’s mountain bike economy and bring renewed vigor to northern communities. Maura serves on the Biomass Thermal Energy Council Board of Directors. Since graduating from FES, Maura has also worked in natural resource management, green building consulting, and campus sustainability at Harvard University, the Jordan Institute, and St. Paul’s School. She lives in Concord, New Hampshire with her husband and dog, where she serves on the board of the Five Rivers Conservation Trust and spends a lot of time being active outside.
